Panels

Users & Permissions​

Access to web panels is controlled through users and groups. This section outlines what is required for accessing specific panel features.

General Access Rules​

  • To open a web panel, a user must be assigned to it
  • Multiple users and groups can be assigned to one panel
  • Some panel components require elevated permissions

Elevated Permissions​

Some components within a panel require elevated permissions. If these are not granted, specific functionality within the panel may not work as expected.
Below are the most commonly required permissions:

To use placeholder values in dropdown menus, the following permissions are required:

  • Root | Configuration | Placeholders | View

Tabs​

To use Tabs, the following permissions are required:

  • Root | Configuration | Panels | View

Peak Meter​

To use the Peak Meter component, the following permissions are required:

  • Root | Audio | Audio Inputs | View
  • Root | Audio | DMS Meters | View

Select-a-Line​

To use Select-a-Line, the following permissions are required:

  • Root | Select-a-Line | Signals | View
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Signals | Create
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Signals | Delete
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Signals | Edit
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Signal Groups | View
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Snapshots | View
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Directory | View
  • Root | Select-a-Line | HQ Lines | View
  • Root | Select-a-Line | Profiles | View
  • Root | Settings | System Settings | View (Only when using Wasm)

Audio Player​

To use the Audio Player component, the following permissions are required:

  • Root | Audio | Audio Inputs | View
  • Root | Settings | System Settings | View (Only when using Wasm)

WebRTC Client​

To use the WebRTC Client component, the following permissions are required:

  • Root | Settings | System Settings | View (Only when using Wasm)

Note: This is not a complete list. Depending on the panel setup, additional permissions may be required.

Special Users​

Admin​

The default user admin has full access and automatically receives all permissions for all panels and features.

Panel User​

If the default user panel_viewer is assigned to a panel, all users will be able to open that panel. However, users must still have elevated permissions to fully use all components of the panel.
