Breaking Changes

Attention! These things are very important:

  • SBS-3873: Audio Inputs
After upgrading, check your audio input configuration, particularly the sample rate and bit rate, as these are new options that require configuration.

Features

Let's explore what's new:

  • SBS-3348: Certificate Auto-Renewal
In the HTTPS Auto Renew Certificate settings Enable Auto-Renewal can now be enabled. This will download a PFX file from a Certificate Download URL every month and overwrite the certificate specified in the HTTPS section. The URL can be protected with a username and password.

Agent

The following features require the Agent add-on.

  • SBS-3900: Agent Connection State
The agent now shows if it is connected to the core or not.
This can be seen in the agent itself and also in the tray icon. If the agent is not connected to the core, a gray tray icon is displayed.

Panels

The following features require the Panels add-on.

  • SBS-3810: Chat Panel Element
We have added a new Chat panel element that allows communication between panels in real-time.
In order for the chat to function correctly, users must be given the appropriate permissions.
  • SBS-3865: Alias for Web Panels
The web panels now support an optional alias. This allows easier access to the panel and better integration into external systems.

Improvements

These things are much better now:

  • SBS-3803: We have added the new operand is true. It can be used, for example, to check whether the {CurrentValue} of a trigger is true. The following values are considered as true: true, on, yes, and 1 (case-insensitive).
  • SBS-3821: We have added the ability to enable or disable the refresh button for index and detail pages in the GUI Technical Settings for the different modules (Inventory, Scheduler, and Select-A-Line).
  • SBS-3871: We have added the ability to pause actions on the detail and index pages in the same manner as events. Paused actions will still log their execution data, but will not execute.
  • SBS-3943: We have improved the Text Carousel trigger. Now, the trigger is only updated, and a new trigger log entry is only created if the trigger value has changed.
  • SBS-3961: DMS Trigger and Action Renaming
  • SBS-3706: We have added support for tags for almost all models including Audio, Inventory, and Select-A-Line. The tag detail page has been extended with the newly supported models.

Audio

  • SBS-3870: We have added the ability to configure the bits per sample and sampling rate for each audio input and audio output

Documentation

  • SBS-3831: We have added a Data Types page that provides an overview of the data types that are used in the documentation
  • SBS-3907: Downloads Section
We have improved our release notes.
The downloads section can now be found at the bottom of the release notes. It contains links to the various installers for the current version.

Installer

  • SBS-3922: .NET 9.0.11 in Windows Installer
We have upgraded the bundled .NET version to 9.0.11

Inventory

  • SBS-3772: We have made the manufacturer optional when creating hardware or software in the inventory
  • SBS-3774: We have improved the subnet entry workflow. When adding a new subnet entry to a subnet and the chosen asset has only one available port, that port is now automatically selected.
  • SBS-3791: We have added the option to define a MAC address and turn on LACP for ports on assets. When entering a MAC address in the asset index page search bar, ports with the matching address will be searched and the respective asset will be shown.
  • SBS-3815: We have improved the software assignment workflow. When adding software to an asset on its detail page, the available licenses in the dropdown menu are now constrained to the same tenant as the asset.
  • SBS-3822: We have added a banner on the asset detail page that shows in which slot on which asset the current asset is plugged in
  • SBS-3969: We have improved the software version by adding the fields for Release Date and End of Life

Performance

Supervisor

  • SBS-2333: We have improved the clusters index and detail page to show if a cluster is disabled based on its Sync is disabled until configuration. Furthermore, the cluster detail page now features a section showing the latest Sync Logs.
  • SBS-3916: We have added a hint to the Apply Config dialog that explains the configuration will only be applied to the current node when a node is part of a cluster.

Cosmetics

These things look much better now:

  • SBS-3861: We have added row highlighting when hovering over a row in a table on an index or detail page.
  • SBS-3930: Cosmetics
    • We have added missing information to several detail pages
    • We have corrected cosmetic errors on several pages

Inventory

  • SBS-3903: Software versions are now correctly sorted when adding software to assets

Bugs

This should never happen again:

  • SBS-3827: Fixed an issue where the self-signed TLS certificate was not accepted by gRPC and SignalR connections
  • SBS-3868: Fixed an issue where the cache of cached Ember+ devices could not be cleared

Documentation

Inventory

  • SBS-3773: Fixed an issue where the selection of ports was not updated properly when changing assets in the subnet entry edit window
  • SBS-3781: Fixed an issue where the serial number of assets was copied when duplicating the asset
  • SBS-3925: Fixed an issue where software release notes could not be imported automatically if they were too long
  • SBS-3970: Fixed an issue where the Tenant or the Location were missing in some detail pages of the inventory

Panels

  • SBS-3921: Fixed an issue where the View button in the Web Panel Designer no longer displayed the panel.
