Features

Let's explore what's new:

• SBS-1399: Core Jobs
  With the new Jobs index page, you have the possibility to see which jobs are scheduled or running in the Core.
  This includes e.g. Trigger Delay or Action Retry.
  Background jobs such as Purge Deleted Items are also displayed and can be executed manually.
  The new Jobs index page is located in the Technical menu. To activate this menu, the Technical Mode must be activated in the Technical settings.
• SBS-2229: Delete Filters
  In the index pages, it is now possible to delete filters that are no longer needed.
• SBS-2278: SIP Triggers
  We have added support for the SIP protocol.
  • The new SIP Register trigger monitors the registration status of individual SIP accounts.
  • The SIP Ringing trigger allows to react to incoming calls.

Audio

• SBS-2363: Audio Inputs
  Broadcast Suite supports now multiple audio inputs. The source of these are currently WDM devices only.
  Please note that these inputs require additional licensing.
• SBS-2364: Silence Detector Trigger
  Allows to monitor an audio input and reacts when the audio level is below a certain threshold. Please note that this is currently supported on Windows only.

Panels

• SBS-2365: Peak Meter Component
  It's finally here: Web panels support now peak meters. Each meter can be assigned to an audio input. We currently support the ARD+9 scale, more to follow.

Improvements

These things are much better now:

• SBS-2010: We have added Log File Retention Days to the purge settings
• SBS-2275: We have added a new Empty and Empty or Whitespace operand for trigger parameters
• SBS-2290: We have added Maintenance Timeout to the database settings
• SBS-2306: We have added global support for forwarded headers. This is useful when Broadcast Suite runs behind a reverse proxy like Nginx.
• SBS-2316: We have revised the delete confirmation dialog. Now it shows, in most places, what will be deleted.
• SBS-2328: In the Modbus TCP action, the Type parameter has been renamed to Function Code.
• SBS-2334: We have extended the Linux CLI with database control commands
• SBS-2353: In the RDS action, the UECP message is now included in the log data.
• SBS-2356: In the Telegram Notification action, the Recipients now also support placeholders.
• SBS-2357: In the RS-232 action, the Script parameter has been renamed to Commands.
• SBS-2362: The purge jobs for the log/history data have been split into several small jobs. Each job has its own purge setting. This offers the possibility to purge log/history data in a more specific way.
• SBS-2373: E-Mail Action
  • The E-Mail action now uses MailKit as SMTP client to send emails.
  • The To Address parameter has been renamed to Recipients.
  • In the E-Mail settings, you can now set the timeout for the E-Mail action.
  • In the E-Mail settings, you can now set whether the SMTP client should allow untrusted certificates.
  • In the E-Mail settings, you can now set From Name. This name will be used as sender for the e-mail.
• SBS-2379: We have added missing log levels for the core
• SBS-2388: In the Bionic Studio GPIO action, the Set to event status parameter has been removed. This option can now be selected as GPI Value.
• SBS-2423: If an action or a trigger cannot be initialized, a log entry is now written in the history.
• SBS-2430: In the SNMP TRAP action, the parameters Destination Address and Community String now also support placeholders
• SBS-2439: In the IHSE Macro action, the Key parameter has been renamed to Macro Key.
• SBS-2460: The formatting of the log data values in the action log has been revised

Documentation

• SBS-2289: We have updated the Nginx configuration file to include the client_max_body_size parameter

Installer

• SBS-2466: .NET 7.0.12 in Windows Installer
  We have upgraded the bundled .NET version to 7.0.12

Panels

• SBS-2314: Deleting a page in the panel designer now shows a confirmation dialog
• SBS-2018: If an item is used on a panel, the panel is now displayed in the detail page of this item.

Select-a-Line

• SBS-1844: We have added the Routings tab to action detail page

Cosmetics

These things look much better now:

• SBS-2151: Fixed an issue where long names in the sidebar were displayed incorrectly
• SBS-2220: The node users are no longer displayed in the users dropdown on the panel edit page

Bugs

This should never happen again:

• SBS-2114: Fixed an issue where the Copy button in the Ember+ viewer did not work
• SBS-2291: Fixed an issue where the RDS Encoder device had wrong parameter names
• SBS-2297: Fixed an issue where the file name of the API logs was incorrect when downloaded
• SBS-2319: Fixed an issue where the log data values for actions could be incorrect if the first execution was successful and the next execution failed.
• SBS-2341: Fixed an issue where the Create Solution page has thrown an exception
• SBS-2358: Fixed an issue where in the RS-232 action, the Commands were not correctly split
• SBS-2368: Fixed an issue where the KPF Crosspoint action used incorrect source and destination values when the channel count was greater than 2
• SBS-2397:
  • Fixed an issue where a placeholder used by the Placeholder Updater action was not displayed in the placeholder detail page.
  • Fixed an issue where a placeholder could be deleted even though it was being used by the Placeholder Updater action.
• SBS-2412: Fixed an issue where a placeholder, which was supposed to be replaced only with white spaces, was replaced with an empty text.
• SBS-2429: Fixed an issue where the help message of startup- and shutdown actions was inversed
• SBS-2440: Fixed an issue where in the IHSE Crosspoint action the placeholders in the Crosspoints parameter were replaced only once

• SBS-2292: Fixed an issue where images in a panel were not displayed when the panel was displayed as a tab
• SBS-2375: Fixed an issue where the panel labels would occasionally display HTML tags
• SBS-2385: Fixed an issue where the fader elements were incorrectly rendered in some browsers
