Version 2023.4

Release Date: 2023-04-24

Features

Let's explore what's new:

  • SBS-1904: Generate New Node ID
It is now possible to regenerate the Node ID (unique identifier per installation). This is helpful if, for example, an existing database is replicated or copied for testing.
  • SBS-2042: Audit Trail Purge
There is a new Purge setting for the audit trail
  • SBS-2095: Device Enabled Filter
A new Device Enabled filter has been added to the action and trigger index pages. This filter can be used to find actions or triggers that are linked with a disabled device.

Documentation

  • SBS-1748: Config Files
The default config files are now included in the documentation
  • SBS-2102: How to Section
We have added a How To section
  • SBS-2115: Documentation Search
The documentation has now a search function

Ember+

  • SBS-606: Static Sequence Number for Ember+ Provider
The new Ember+ setting Sort by Sequence Number allows to use static sequence numbers within the Ember+ tree. If this setting is enabled, all nodes in the Ember+ tree will keep the same OID even if the name has been changed or a previous entry has been deleted.

Improvements

These things are much better now:

  • SBS-2030: Update Command in CLI
The new sbs update all command updates all units to the latest version. If you want to update to a specific version, you can additionally specify the target version number. Example: sbs update core 2022.4
  • SBS-2053: We have added a new logger node for the Syslog protocol
  • SBS-2072: The about page has been improved with more information
  • SBS-2091: The item detail pages now remember the number of history rows per page
  • SBS-2092: The event log history now shows which triggers have invoked the event
  • SBS-2094: The logging when starting the core has been improved
  • SBS-2110: The logging for gRPC has been improved
