Breaking Changes

Attention! These things are very important:

• SBS-3419: VisTool Embed
  With the update to Broadcast Suite 2025.1 or newer, web panels can no longer be embedded into LAWO VisTool due to an incompatibility with the integrated Chromium engine. This incompatibility will be fixed in an upcoming VisTool version.
  As an alternative, you can use the Broadcast Suite Agent to show web panels on Windows clients.

Features

Let's explore what's new:

• SBS-2254: Add Trigger Hooks on the Index Page
  The Add Trigger Hooks button from the triggers detail page can now also be found on the triggers index page. It is also possible to add trigger hooks to multiple triggers at once.
• SBS-3107: SW-P-08 Protocol
  We have added the new SW-P-08 Crosspoint trigger and SW-P-08 Crosspoint action to control matrices using this protocol
• SBS-3482: File Watcher Trigger
  The new File Watcher trigger allows watching a folder for file changes
• SBS-3485: Audio Processing Action
  The new Audio Processing action enhances the audio quality of recordings. This makes use of Auphonic processing. Credits can be purchased through SLG or directly from Auphonic.

Agent

The following features require the Agent add-on.

• SBS-3452: Agent Download 🕵🏻
  The Agent Windows Installer and its config file can now be downloaded directly from the About page — no Internet access required on the target machine.
  The config file includes everything needed to connect the Agent to the Broadcast Suite, all in one step.

Inventory

The following features require the Inventory add-on.

• SBS-3453: Multi Edit for Inventory Index Pages
  We have added multi edit on several inventory indexes. Namely for assets, cables, hardware, racks, software, and licenses.

Panels

The following features require the Panels add-on.

• SBS-3507: Pop-up for Panel Buttons
  We have added a new parameter for panel buttons that allows showing a pop-up window within a panel
• SBS-3511: Web Panel Refresh Action
  The new Web Panel Refresh action allows sending a refresh command to the specified web panel

Improvements

These things are much better now:

• SBS-3017: We have added a filter for substitution tables on the substitutions index page
• SBS-3481: Rename File trigger to File Reader
  To improve clarity, the existing File trigger has been renamed to File Reader trigger to distinguish it from the newly introduced File Watcher trigger.

Agent

• SBS-3448: We have added a Open Config Folder button to the agent error window
• SBS-3450: The agent installer now supports entering core connection details during setup. Silent installation is also supported — see Installer Startup Arguments for details.

Inventory

• SBS-3465: The options for locations while creating assets, cables, or racks are now filtered by tenants. Only locations that are assigned to the selected tenant will be shown.

Panels

• SBS-3352: We have added a Panel Refresh button to the panel index and panel detail pages, with which web panels can be refreshed.
• SBS-3474: We have improved the panel behaviour on iOS devices

Bugs

This should never happen again:

• SBS-3454: Fixed an issue where the DMS listener could get stuck in a loop, producing excessive log data.
• SBS-2013: Fixed an issue where certain users could not be duplicated
• SBS-2014: Fixed an issue where certain user groups could not be duplicated
• SBS-3477: Fixed an issue where the same script action could not be executed multiple times simultaneously

Agent

• SBS-3505: Fixed an issue where some script actions could not be executed with the Agent

Panels

• SBS-3455: Fixed an issue where WebRTC clients without configuration caused an unhandled exception
• SBS-3476: Fixed an issue where the refresh button was visible in the panel designer
